Salil Kawatra, DMD
Dr. Salil Kawatra hails from the northern part of India, where his journey in dentistry first began. After obtaining his initial dental degree in India, he moved to the United States to pursue his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.
With a deep-seated commitment to community service, Dr. Kawatra dedicated two impactful years as a general dentist in a federally underserved area of Texas. Following this, he returned to Pittsburgh to specialize in Endodontics, earning his certificate from the University of Pittsburgh. Dedicated to endodontic research since his dental school days, Dr. Kawatra has showcased his findings at numerous American Association of Endodontists’ meetings, contributing significantly to the advancement of the discipline.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Kawatra finds joy in the great outdoors. An enthusiastic road cyclist in love with the hills of Pittsburgh, he also enjoys long walks and hikes alongside his wife, Sukanya.
